David Player - Webmaster & Observation Lists
Despite a life-long casual interest, Dave has only been active as an amateur since late 2003. He completed the Messier list in 2005 and the NGC Finest list in 2006. While visual astronomy still rules his activities, he is persuing an interest in astro-imaging as well.
Dave has taken advantage of the incredible observing opportunties which present themselves at the MKSP since 2005. He edited the brochure for the 2007 MKSP. In 2008 Dave re-wrote the old MKSP website and made significant modifications again in 2010. In 2012 he re-wrote the website to this current version. As webmaster has also been maintaining the content. In addition Dave, with some input from Guy Mackie and Colleen O'Hare, produced the observation lists found under Events menu item.
He is now retired from the Federal Gov't where he'd spent 19 years with Environment Canada as a Weather Services Specialist followed by another 12 years providing Information Technology support both within and outside of Environment Canada.
Since retiring from the Federal Gov't Dave has kept busy working at a number of part-time seasonal jobs.
In the summer of 2009 Dave and his wife took a three year hiatus from the Okanangan moving to Prince George. In May 2012 they moved back to Kelowna.
