Jack Dudych

Jack is retired after a multifaceted career culminating in twenty years as a professional designer of electronic products. He is a Mathematical Association of America award winner and a grantee of a recently-expired U.S. patent, plus a winner of six MKSP telescope-making awards (three for ‘Most Innovative Design’).

Although he loves all telescopes, he is an advocate for large binoculars, “…because of the way they engage the observer’s innate higher-order ability to more profoundly apprehend low-contrast astronomical objects”. He built an unusual two-reflection-per-channel, 12-inch, Newtonian binoscope that was profiled in Sky and Telescope magazine.
